The short terms.

Using Patch

Patch places calls you ask for, to businesses and to people who expect your call. You are responsible for the instructions you give it. Patch follows the rules on our rules page; requests that break them are refused, and accounts that abuse the service are suspended.

Paying

Patch is prepaid. You top up your balance and each call is charged per second of talking and hold time, at the prices on our site. Calls that are not answered, are busy, or fail on our side are free. Before a call starts we hold a small amount from your balance and release what is unused when it ends.

Refunds

Unused balance can be refunded on request. If a call went wrong because of a fault on our side, tell us and we will look at it; we don't offer automatic refunds for calls that were placed and answered.

What Patch can't promise

Patch talks to real businesses, which can say no, change their minds or give wrong information. It does its best within your instructions and tells you what was agreed, but it can't guarantee an outcome.

The beta

This is an early service. Features change, and we may pause accounts or the service while we improve it. We will give notice before any change that affects your balance.
